The above dashboard is an example where we look at the actual vs. budget financial performance of a company. I also built two views specifically looking at key metrics from the income statement and balance sheet. The executive summary gives an overview of the most important KPIs/metrics, which can be chosen by the end user.
Objective
Commonly the objective of a dashboard is to provide a summary of the (financial) performance of a company or project. It gives the ability to interact with the dashboard through filters and buttons where you can drill down into views. Based on insights and patterns in a dashboard one can make more informed decisions.
